Programs | Mindful Leadership

How can you inspire others to believe in something greater than themselves when you’re constantly exhausted, worried, and wrangling self-doubt?

the old adage of “put your own mask on first” is obvious but in practice, when life gets busy, taking care of oneself is astonishingly tricky.

Mindful leadership is build on three pillars: 1) self-awareness, or the ability to know one’s needs, desires, and strengths and accept their limitations; 2) self-regulation, or the ability to do hard things in the moments that count - even if no one is around to witness them; and 3) self-transcendence, or detaching yourself from your own agenda long enough to see another’s experience and care deeply about something bigger than yourself.

Operating in environments that are high-stakes, high-pressure, and performance oriented can be taxing on our ability to find ease within our own bodies and makes it almost impossible to connect deeply with others, at work and at home.

For leaders that find themselves struggling with balancing their own needs with those of their team members and the wider organization, this program explores what can be done to manage oneself within the constraints of the larger system. This program draws heavily from neuroscience to describe how stress at work and the pressure to be an all-knowing leader can impact effectiveness at work and one’s presence overall.

This program covers:

  • Emotion regulation and how to feel (rather than numb) discomfort

  • Befriending the inner critic

  • Vulnerability in action

  • Empathy as a superpower

  • Psychological safety in relationships

  • Difficult conversations over people pleasing

  • Discovering an indestructible sense of self-worth

I’m good enough. I’m smart enough. And I really, really hope people like me. At the most basic level of humanity is a need to be loved, competent, and free. But in the busyness of adulting, we often become disconnected with these essential needs and instead chase the accumulation of achievement, titles, and things that never truly itch the inner scratch that matters most.
