Cold Exposure Workshops
How many things are you putting off in your life right now that you have built up to be impossible because you’ve lost yourself in a comfort zone you didn’t even realize you were idling in?
First thing’s first - I hate the cold. Hate is a word I use very rarely and upon reflecting, there are really only two things that I really hate: 1) racism; and 2) being cold and wet. So, you are reading words of the converted when I say that of all the workshops I lead that teach mindfulness techniques to support how we function in day-to-day life, please know that cold exposure is the most experientially impactful route as it meets each and every participant exactly where they’re at.
Cold exposure has a long list of empirically supported benefits related to mental health, immune function, metabolism, inflammation etc. But, the most practical benefit that I’ve witnessed after having had the pleasure of taking groups cold plunging is the boost in self-efficacy, or one’s belief in their ability to successfully take on a challenge.
We spend far too much energy trying to avoid uncomfortable and scary things, which has created a network of minds that are over-anticipating and under-executing. If you or your team are curious about what is possible on the other side of fear, or who you are when you’re ego isn’t in control, please get in touch. This is a great workshop for executives responsible for strategy, organizations interested in innovation, or individuals with emotions that need healing.
